WIP Wednesday – Big Circle Throw

Big Circle Throw

I really should be working on this instead of blogging about it, but here I am anyway! I started this blanket earlier this month because I thought I needed more color in my life. February is so bleak. These bright circles have cheered me up so much that I almost don’t even care about sewing them all together at the end as long as I get to look at them all the time! Well, okay, I do – I want a finished blanket out of the deal, so I will keep on keeping on.

The pattern is Squaring the Big Circle from Signed with an Owl, which is appropriate since I am making this blanket as an O.W.L. for the Harry Potter Knit/Crochet House Cup. I am supposed to have 25 squares done by the end of the day this Friday for my 50% completion points, but I don’t know yet if that will happen. I have a lot of work to do between now and then. I will try my best, though! For Gryffindor!!! ROAR!

LOL!

When I am done with all the squares, I plan to use white to crochet them all together and then add a border around the outside. Still a long way to go, but I like what I have so far!

  1. I like what you have so far too. Pretty pretty!

  2. So cute and great colors – this must be really fun to do in the cold weather in Canada.

    • Thank you! Yes, winters are long up here, so it’s nice to have a craft to do while I’m sitting by the fire on those cold days! The finished items come in pretty handy, too!
